Your inside guide to Barcelona's Premium Nightife

Premium Beats at Eclipse

“I heard Eclipse was glamorous, but I didn’t know it was so much fun.”

As I stepped into the W Hotel, I was glad I made an effort to dress up. Everything glittered, from the building itself to the people queing for the elevator. Twenty-six floors and one Bpremium VIP pass later, we arrived at our destination: Premium Beats, an exclusive Sunday night party held at the legendary Eclipse Bar. Towering over Barcelona, it gives its lucky guests panoramic views of the city lights shimmering against the black ocean like stars in the sky.

A mix of Italian, English and Spanish filled the air as men in crisp suits mingled with ladies in chic cocktail dresses. Despite such an elegant crowd, the vibe was anything but stuffy. This was thanks to DJ Big Mil, who kept us constantly moving with his unique mix of Hip Hop and R&B. It was a perfect balance of newer hits by Kendrick Lamar and Drake with classics by Biggie and Destiny’s Child that made it impossible to stop dancing.

pb2But if the music was fresh, the cocktails were the freshest: we could literally smell the fruit behind the bar. The smell was so irresistible we just had to try Eclipse’s signature Crack Baby Shot, an exquisite mix of Stolichnaya vodka, sour passion fruit and Black Raspberry liquer topped with champagne. They were so dangerously delicious, we had three – and then some mojitos.

The party was reaching fever pitch. Everyone was throwing their hands up, popping champagne bottles and dropping it low. I didn’t care if I’d regret this tomorrow at work. Premium Beats was definitely the best way to end my week.
